SO WHAT CAN WE DO?

use sustainable alternatives like aluminium

Aluminium is the only material that can be recycled on an infinite loop. It doesn’t release toxic chemicals when breaking down either.

What about glass?

Glass weighs more than aluminium and requires additional packaging to protect it from breaking. Aluminium has a lower transportation carbon emission than glass or plastic… and no one wants glass smashing in their shower!

what about brands that use recycled or reclaimed plastics?

It’s totally cool that there are brands out there helping clean up our oceans in this way. But ultimately if it’s not recycled effectively (only 5% of plastics are!) then it just ends up back in the ocean…

RECYCLE IN YOUR BATHROOM!

Get a recycling bin or separate bins for your bathroom to make it super easy and encourage your entire household to have no excuses!

You could be recycling; Plastic shampoo, conditioner & shower gel bottles, plastic moisturiser bottles, glass face cream pots, perfume bottles, aerosols for deodorant, air freshener & shaving foam, bleach & bathroom cleaner bottles, toothpaste boxes and toilet roll tubes.

change up your routine

Transition from single-use plastic to reusable systems that will not damage the earth or harm human health.
